Latest survey information now available to researchers!
Thank you so much to the more than 8,000 of you who took part in the Life in Your Early 50s Survey between 2021 and 2024. We are so grateful for your participation.
From today, researchers worldwide now have access to this latest survey information. They will be able to use it in combination with information you’ve shared with us across the decades, to do new research on a range of important topics.
Listen to this personal thank you message from BCS70 director, Professor George Ploubidis.
About the Life in Your Early 50s Survey
The Life in Your Early 50s Survey included an interview, a paper self-completion questionnaire, and an online dietary questionnaire. We covered some familiar topics, including relationships, work, and health. We also asked you how your life continues to be affected by the Covid-19 pandemic.
To see how your experiences might be different to previous generations, we asked you questions that people taking part in older cohort studies had answered during their early 50s too.
What happens next?
The information you shared in this latest survey will help us understand how your generation is getting on in midlife. Researchers will be able to use this, alongside information from previous surveys, to investigate important issues — from ageing in good health to retirement planning.
The information available to researchers doesn’t contain names, addresses or other personal details that could identify you.
We will keep you up to date with new research findings, so you can see why your contributions to BCS70 matter. Keep an eye out here and on our Facebook page.
Thank you again for continuing to be a part of this important study!
