Moving forward in the 1990s – an animated tour

We’ve reached the end of our look back at the 1990s with BCS70 – and what an eventful decade that was! BCS70 got a new director and new headquarters and carried out its first full survey of study members in 10 years. Most of you had started working, and some of you had bought your own homes and started families. In the world at large, Cool Britannia was in full swing, grunge entered the mainstream, and the dotcom industry took off.

The data we collected provided valuable evidence on basic skills, training and the gender pay gap, and laid the foundations for many important policies.
